Dozens of people entered the ultra-Orthodox community of the Stamford Hill area in London and chanted anti-Semitic rants, according to a report by The Jewish Chronicle.

Roughly twenty to thirty men taunted members of the Jewish Community by accusing them of “Jews Are Taking Over the World” Heard in The Streets of London” and making fun of their “long noses”. Although the police were at present, no arrests were made for the ant-Semitic statements made.

Chaim Hochhauser, a representative of the Shomrim community protection organization, commented by saying, “It was extremely racist. We have taken a number of phone calls about it. People are scared – scared that a pogrom could happen to them. There were a lot of Jewish people there. It was Shabbos afternoon so they were coming out of shul.”

”Even the non-Jewish people were shocked. This was the first time something like this has happened. The community is shocked. It is extremely shocking – especially for it to happen on Shabbos,” he added

According to the Community Security Trust, Britain’s leading anti-Semitic watchdog, during the half of the year, 892 attacks against British Jews have been reported.
