At the opening of the recent annual conference of the world’s largest pro Israel advocacy organization – AIPAC- (American Israel Public Affairs Committee) its Executive Director Howard Kohr told the 18,000 participants that the organization is firmly committed to a two state solution.

He urged Israel and the Palestinian Authority to return to the negotiating table to forge an agreement that would pave the way for an agreement for the establishment of a Palestinian state. “We must all work toward that future: two states for two peoples. One Jewish with secure and defensible borders and one Palestinian with its own flag and its own future.”

This was backed up by AIPAC President Mort Fridman who added: “To my friends in the progressive community, I want you to know that we are partners in this project.”

A discussion on the two state solution was removed from the agenda to avoid “friction.”

For David Rubin, former mayor of Shiloh writing in Jerusalem On LIne, this would be “national suicide” for Israel and mean giving terrorists the land to which Israel is most connected.” Judea and Samaria.

Furthermore he warned, this reveals a growing and alarming “disconnect” between Israeli and American Jews, even those supportive of Israel.

Today most Israelis of all political persuasions, are opposed to the creation of a Palestinian state, whose leaders publicly and blatantly trumpet their one goal – the destruction of Israel.
